is sort of curly. It’s more like curls that are lazy enough to not be very good curls, but not lazy enough to be waves. He doesn’t really style it very often because he just doesn’t usually bother with it. Why go through all the trouble of flat ironing it and spiking it when it looks fine as is?
The first time he spikes it up after moving with Gamzee is a momentous occasion. He flat irons his hair and almost burns his scalp because he’s not very good at using a flat iron. He spikes his hair up and it takes ages because he doesn’t get much practice at it.
Gamzee watches all of this happen. What Tavros has neglected to notice that morning was that there was a 90% chance of rain. Gamzee, in his mind, knew this. He knew it, but it never crossed his mind to tell Tavros that it would be raining that day.
As soon as Tavros stepped out of the apartment, he was drenched (he didn’t hear the rain because Gamzee was watching cartoons). All his hard work immediately fell flat, curled up, and because of the product, got sticky. Unfortunately, he couldn’t skip out on work, so he had to stay at the parlor all day like that. He was miserable, but there wasn’t anything he could do about it until he got off of work.
Gamzee decided to shower with him and washed his hair for him.
Tav’s day ended swimmingly.
